Beginning
on the foothills of the North East region of the Northern Range, your
journey takes you through the lush and green Arima Valley where the Asa
Wright Nature Center is located.
In the South Central rural town of Indian Walk, the Devil's Woodyard Mud
Volcanoes are among old teak woodlands. Bubbling and hot steaming mud flows
actively from the crater of the volcanoes.
Drive along the North East Coast to the village of Toco
then turn West on the North Coastline through the towns of Mission
and Monte Video to the quaint fishing village of Grande Riviere.
On your way to the east coast see the mouth of the Ottoire River
and the wondrous beauty of the coconut palm trees that puts the road into
perspective for miles ahead to the Nariva
Swamp.
